Please note that Master’s internships completed abroad are usually not supported by a stipend.

As an international student, which scholarships can I apply for?

Different types of scholarships are available for specific categories of students applying to the ST4Health Master's program. Note that receiving these scholarships DOES NOT GUARANTEE admission to the program. Scholarship programs have their own calendars and selection criteria. It is extremely competitive. Selection is based on an examination of the application file, validation of a biology test, and an interview in front of a multidisciplinary jury. No applications will be submitted to the Eiffel program this coming year 2026-2027. It will be possible from next Academic Year 2027-2028. As with the PSL PhD track, PSL university sets the deadline for applying for the Eiffel Scholarship in November-December, usually, to allow time for applications to be reviewed.

How much money will I need to attend the program and live in Paris?

You will need your own personal computer. Books and educational materials cost around €300 per year. Living in Paris is expensive. The cost of a student room is usually between €500 and €900 per month.

Is the daily workload compatible with part-time work ?

The program is very demanding and equivalent to a full-time job. We do not recommend working on the side, unless it is a part-time student job that takes up no more than a few hours a week.
Please note: Attendance at the courses is mandatory, and the schedule may be modified during the year. No schedule or syllabus will be provided before the kick-off meeting.

Practical matters

Where can I find the program schedule?

We do not provide a schedule before the kick-off meeting. Please note that it is a full-time program, and we do not recommend having a job on the side, especially since personal work will take as much time as classes.
The first semester begins the first week of September, and you must be registered before the semester starts. Then, there is a two-week break for Christmas and New Year's. The second semester begins and ends in mid-July or mid-September, depending on the track you attend. Please refer to the Admission page for dates.

How long are the classes each day?

Courses will typically run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., however there are exceptions. The detailed schedule will be available on line before the beginning of the course. These three hours combine lectures and others activities, such as workshops. Practical courses in particular can last much longer (practicals only end when the experiment is finished, so the given schedule is not binding). Additionally, some courses (among which are language courses, methodology tutorials and section seminars) take place during the midday break or in the evening.

Where are the courses?

Most classes and activities take place at the ESPCI Paris and PariSanté Campus sites:
- ESPCI Paris
- PariSanté Campus
Both sites can be easily reached by public transportation. If needed, course planning is organized to give enough time to go from one site to another (45 min).

Do PSL University and ESPCI Paris offer accommodation?

Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee housing for master students.
For international students, help about housing search and preparing your stay in Paris is provided through the PSL Welcome Desk .

Is the kick-off meeting mandatory?

Yes, it is. All students (M1 and M2) must attend. It usually takes place on the first week of September.

Can I start the year later in case I don’t obtain my visa on time?

No. You must be present from the very beginning of the year. The kick-off meeting is mandatory.

Is it possible to start the year in January?

No, the school year starts in September only and lasts until June at least (it can last until the end of September if the student has to take resit exams or if his/her oral defence takes place in September. It happens when the student prolongs his/her internship over the summer for example).

Can I take the program as part of a distance learning program?

No, this is not possible. With a few exceptions, the courses in the master's program are only available in person. Students MUST attend ALL the courses they are enrolled in.

Can students take a gap year during the program, and when is it possible?

Yes, students can take a gap year during the Master's program. It can be taken:
- Before starting the program,
- Between semesters,
- Between M1 and M2.
The gap year can last one semester or a full academic year, with flexibility to split across two academic years if approved
